Membership and Maturity Driector - NewHope Community Church
Background:
NewHope Community Church is an exciting new church with a big commitment to the great commandment and the great commission. Our purpose is “to bring people to Jesus and membership in His family, develop Christ like maturity, and to equip them for ministry in the church and their life mission in the world in order to magnify God’s Name.” We operate consistently with the biblical principles espoused in the book The Purpose Driven Church. We have structured our leadership team in accordance with the five purposes:
• Membership: We incorporate God’s family into our fellowship. • Maturity: We educate God’s people through discipleship. • Ministry: We demonstrate God’s love through service. • Mission: We communicate God’s word through evangelism. • Magnification: We celebrate God’s presence through worship.

Principle Accountabilities: The Membership and Maturity Pastor is responsible for identifying, training, developing, supporting, encouraging and releasing members of the NewHope community to support the purposes of Membership and Maturity. This will include sourcing, developing and vetting teaching materials used in the small groups. • Developing and delivering a range of biblically-based educational and developmental classes and seminars. • Developing and implementing a Life Development Institute for NewHope to support members with the knowledge, doctrinal foundations, conviction, skills and character required for maturity. • Working with the Senior Pastor to identify appropriate church-based training for Pastors and leaders. • Developing and implementing appropriate mechanisms to evaluate the work of the ministry including surveying attenders and members to ensure their needs are being met. • Creating opportunities for members to build relationships and develop friendships. • From time-to-time, as requested by the Senior Pastor, developing and delivering the message during Worship services • Maintaining an up-to-date listing of all members and ensuring appropriate mechanisms are in place for follow-up and support. This will include recording progress against different classes, keeping up to date contact details etc.

Youth Pastor - Hawthorn Church of Christ
Imagine being called to a city community of approximately 65,000 people where 6,000 of those are teenagers who attend high school and where less than 4% are involved in any type of evangelical ministry / church.
God has blessed Hawthorn CofC with a strategic youth ministry in our community of Adelaide. Attracting un-churched youth from many of our local high schools, we are looking for a passionate, visionary, experienced leader to provide overall leadership to this ministry. Working with and developing our present lay-leaders, volunteers and student leaders, we believe God is calling us to take this ministry to a new level of effectiveness, specifically in the area of reaching and discipling a greater number of youth for Christ.
This ministry role will allow for time each week to connect with young people one-on-one and/or in small group settings but at the same time, central to our ministry activities is our weekly outreach program that is often described as highly relational and creative. This youth ministry position would involve the design and oversight of youth ministry events, worship, discipleship and outreach.
This youth ministry position is a full-time position. The initial appointment would preferably be for 3 years, with the potential for an extended period to be negotiated. We are looking for someone who has the following qualities:
